The Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners are two of four teams remaining in the American League.

The Mariners had a bye after winning the AL West, while the Tigers knocked off the Cleveland Guardians in a wild-card series, advancing with Thursday's 6-3 win in a do-or-die Game 3.

The Tigers and Mariners open Game 1 of the best-of-five ALDS on Saturday, Oct. 4 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. First pitch is scheduled for 8:38 p.m. ET , with the broadcast airing on FS1 and streaming on Fubo, which offers a free trial .

Rookie Troy Melton is set to start Game 1 of the ALDS for the Tigers, marking the first postseason start of his career. Opposing him is Mariners' righty George Kirby, who pitched to a 10-8 record and a 4.21 ERA over 126 innings pitched during the 2025 regular season.
