WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Celtic Fest returned to Lazarre Park with a variety of music, dancing, vendors, and family activities that celebrate Celtic culture.
Guests like Mike Long recently discovered his Celtic roots and came to make connections with those of similar heritage.
“We all have a warrior background,” Long said. “The Scots are warriors. The Celts are warriors. You look at Ireland, you look at Scotland, you hear the pipes. To me, that puts tears in my eyes and everything. So it’s a whole thing of doing this.”
Celtic Fest is the longest-running festival in Ouachita Parish and is part of a larger effort to bring more entertainment offerings in West Monroe.
