MACOMB – Behind another dominating effort, Macomb Lutheran North continued onward as one of two unbeaten football teams in Macomb County.
The Division 4 state-ranked Mustangs rolled past visiting Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood 48-9 Friday in Catholic High School League Intersectional 1 Division play to move to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the conference.
Lutheran North led 13-0 after the first quarter and 34-3 by the half and didn’t look back. The Mustangs have now outscored their opposition 255-42, scoring 42.5 points-per-game while allowing just seven points a contest.
Junior Connor Franz led North with 218 yards on 20 carries while senior Camden Kubik added nine carries for 60 yards. Kubik was also 5-for-11 passing for 83 yards and two touchdown passes for the Mustangs.
