A 22-year-old woman has died and a 26-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in the Lawndale neighborhood Saturday night.

Chicago police were called to a report of shots fired in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt at approximately 8:10 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they located a 22-year-old woman who had been shot multiple times in the chest. The woman was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

Officers also found a man who had been placed into an ambulance by Chicago paramedics, according to authorities. The man was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Area Four detectives are investigating, and no suspects are in custody.
