NEW ALBANY, Ind. —

Hundreds lined the streets Saturday afternoon as the Harvest Homecoming parade ushered in the start of southern Indiana’s fall tradition, celebrated since 1967.

“Look at the street. We’re right on the street that the parade goes by every single year. It’s absolutely phenomenal,” said Kyle McPhillips, a resident of New Albany.

For many, the parade is about family, friends and familiar faces.

“This is my third year of celebration of the Harvest Homecoming parade,” McPhillips said. “We’re just here celebrating with friends and family for the biggest parade of the year, watching all these great local businesses. All the good things.”
