THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Police Saturday registered a case against a Tamil Nadu native for assaulting an Israeli tourist who allegedly snatched the former's mobile phone and threw it in the Arabian Sea. The Isreali, Zayats Sagi (46), did not have a passport and was seen wandering in the locality for the past few months. After a medical team certified he had mental health issues, he was lodged in a mental health centre at Varkala, police said. "The tourist snatched Nandakumar's mobile phone and ran away. On being chased, the tourist threw the phone in the sea. Annoyed, Nandakumar slapped him. Locals alerted police," an officer said.
