The 2025 season was supposed to be about Arch Manning’s arrival in the spotlight so as to continue the Manning legacy. The most hyped recruit in college football history finally got his chance to run the show at Texas. Instead, what we’ve gotten is a pretty rough reality check. The redshirt sophomore opened the year with a brutal 14-7 loss to Ohio State, where he completed just 17 of 30 passes for 170 yards with one touchdown, and an interception. Things didn’t get much better against UTEP when he went 11-of-25 for 114 yards, and the home crowd at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium actually booed him at halftime during what ended up being a 27-10 win. And today the mistakes showed up once more against the Gators as Texas lost 29-21.

At the core of Arch’s subpar performance is the turnover bug.
