COBB COUNTY, Ga. — An Atlanta police officer was booked in jail last month for DUI and other driving-related charges, Cobb County jail records show.

Cobb County Police said the incident unfolded on the night of Sept. 12. Patrol officers conducted a single-vehicle crash on Old Stilesboro Road near County Line Road around 11:50 p.m.

Kevin Knapp, who is an APD officer, was arrested and charged with failure to maintain lane, driving too fast for conditions and DUI.

The Atlanta Police Department stated that Knapp is still employed by its agency.

"At this time, we can confirm that our department is aware of and investigating that incident," APD said in a statement.
