WAUKEE, Iowa —

A Central Iowa food pantry is celebrating 20 years of serving the community.

WayPoint Resources, formerly Waukee Area Christian Services, is the largest pantry in Dallas County. Their mission is to ensure families have food, clothes, and access to health care.

To celebrate its anniversary, WayPoint is holding a community event Sunday. It's scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on the lawn of Westview Church, the original and current home of the organization.

There will be live music by the Community Jazz Center Big Band, food trucks, and family activities. KCCI's Jodi Long will emcee the program.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
