TROY, Ala. (WDHN)—Two rivals met up under the bright lights of Veteran's Memorial Stadium, as the Troy Trojans went into battle against the South Alabama Jaguars in the Battle for the Belt.
The last time these two squads faced off against each other, it was the Jags that ran away victorious.
The Trojans came out of the gates on fire thanks to a 34-yard touchdown run from quarterback Tucker Kilcrease.
But the Jags would respond rather quickly, thanks to a jet sweep pass from Bishop Davenport to Micah Woods that went for a 33-yard score.
Troy was able to reclaim the lead before going into halftime, after Kilcrease was able to find RaRa Thomas over the middle for a Trojan touchdown.
