PLAINVIEW, Texas (KCBD) - For the first time in seven years, the Wayland Baptist Pioneers (3-2, 2-2) are enjoying a three-game win streak. Saturday at Greg Sherwood Memorial Stadium, Wayland exacted revenge on the Aggies from Oklahoma Panhandle State for last year’s defeat, with a 33-20 win.
OPSU was off to a fast start during its opening drive of the game. A 29-yard touchdown pass from Chance Guadiz to Dillon Laurer gave the Aggies a 7-0 lead. Even though the Pioneers didn’t light up the scoreboard until the next quarter, once they started to score- the 26 unanswered points they turned in provided enough insurance for the win.
