Abdoul Konvolbo found the back of the net four times and tacked on a pair of assists for third-seeded Shabazz as it knocked off sixth-seeded Technology in the quarterfinal round of the Newark Public Schools Tournament in a 7-0 home victory.

Shabazz’s win advances it to the semifinal round where it will face the winner of the clash between second-seeded Barringer and 10th-seeded Newark Data Science.

Justin Parris scored one goal while assisting on a second and Christopher Gonzalez tallied a pair of assists. Steven Lazo turned aside a trio of Technology shots to record the shutout for Shabazz (6-6).

Technology falls to 5-6 and is scheduled to return to regular season action on Wednesday, Oct. 22 when it hosts Ferris.
