Wipro founder Azim Premji and his family continue to rule Bengaluru ’s wealth rankings, emerging as the richest in the tech capital with a net worth of Rs 2.21 lakh crore, according to the Hurun India Rich List 2025 .

The report stated that India added billionaires at an unmatched pace, as 1,687 people have joined the 1,000 crore club, pushing the country’s total number of billionaires past 350. Bengaluru accounted for 116 of them, ranking in the third slot among cities after Mumbai and New Delhi.

“Azim Premji and family recorded the sharpest surge in the top 10, rising from 34 th to eighth with a remarkable six-fold increase in wealth, reaching Rs 2,21 lakh crore,’’ Hurun report stated.
