Monty Don, the BBC gardening favourite and cherished host of Gardeners' World, has revealed details of his forthcoming public engagements and confirmed that his next ventures will signal a departure from his television work. The horticultural expert turned to Instagram to reveal a special event at London's Dominion Theatre.

Writing in his post: "The Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road, London, Sunday October 19th. See you there!" he also shared a brief video message saying: "Hi, it's Monty Don here.
