Editor’s note: As some of the major issues and decisions that the Grand Junction City Council — like the Fourth and Fifth street project — have been resolved, the Sentinel went to current council members with a quick Q&A on what might be next.

What are the one or two issues you feel are most important to address in the near future?

With the Fourth and Fifth Street decision behind us, I think two of the biggest priorities in front of us are the budget and wrapping up our strategic plan. Both are especially important with tighter fiscal times ahead, and with the Community Recreation Center under construction and set to open soon, we need to be smart and deliberate about how we use our resources.
