The Jakarta World Cinema festival wrapped its fourth edition with a closing ceremony at CGV Grand Indonesia, unveiling winners across its feature and short film competitions.
Joachim Trier’s “ Sentimental Value ” took home the JWC Audience Award, voted on directly by festivalgoers. In the first feature Competition, the jury awarded best director to Pauline Loquès for “ Nino ,” while Cole Webley’s “ Omaha ” won best film.
The KlikFilm Short Movie Competition celebrated emerging Indonesian talent with four prizes. Sinung Winahyoko’s “Babon” claimed first place and a feature film fund, while Joni Astin Ariadi’s “Darma” took first runner-up (also receiving a feature film fund) and Ardian Parasto’s “Pembayun” placed as second runner-up (feature film fund as well).
