There’s something extraordinary about the way dogs understand the world.

What always strikes me most is how some shelter dogs seem to recognize when they’re finally going home.

Imagine spending weeks, months, or even years behind kennel bars. Then one day, a family arrives, ready to offer a fresh start. You can see the hope in their eyes as they sense their life is about to transform.

That’s exactly what happened to Guy, a Husky with a difficult past. He was adopted into what appeared to be his forever home, only to be returned weeks later when the family said they didn’t like him. His world collapsed.
