At least seven people have died after a landslide occurred at Dilaram on the Kurseong-Darjeeling road on Sunday. Abhishek Roy, Additional SP of Kurseong in Darjeeling district police stated that rescue teams have recovered seven bodies from the debris and are working to find two more missing individuals. The landslide has blocked the Kurseong-Darjeeling road, and the Rohini Road is also closed due to another landslide at Gourishankar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences for the lives lost in the incident and stated that the situation is closely monitored.
