Ridgewood football coach Torre Watson knows all too well what the Hackensack/Ridgewood rivalry is like.
“All week long, every day, I told them a story about a great game in this rivalry,” Watson said. “There have been great wins, devastating losses, and you know you’re always going to get a tight game when you play them.”
While this latest edition of the game was very tight after three quarters, the Maroons pulled away late to keep their hex on the Comets extended another year.
Brody Perrapato cashed in on the mistakes for Ridgewood, scoring three times in a 20-6 victory over Hackensack at Della Torre Field in Hackensack. Now 3-3 on a tough schedule, the Maroons are in prime position to secure a spot in the Section 1, Group 5 playoff bracket, while Hackensack fell to 3-3 with the defeat
