We've hit the one-month mark of the 2025 NFL season. That means Week 5 has arrived, as do bye weeks. The Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers are the first teams on a bye in 2025, but that isn't slowing us down.
The USA TODAY Sports staff has returned to the roundtable to give the best NFL bets for Sunday. The team went 1-3 in Week 4, with Hunter Henry exceeding his receiving yards line as the lone winner. With a whole month of stats and data, we'll strive to make more informed decisions.
There's a 12-game slate for Sunday including an early kickoff in London and the USA TODAY Sports staff of NFL experts narrows down the best NFL bets in one place below.

Jets RB Breece Hall OVER 67.5 rushing yards vs. Cowboys (-115)
Ayrton Ostly, NFL writer: Hall's been boom-or-bust so far this season out of the backfield for the Jets. He had 145 yards on 21 touches in Week 1, then followed it with 38 yards on 12 touches in Week 2 and 52 on 13 in Week 3. Last week he bounced back with 111 yards on 19 touches against Miami.
The Dolphins have the league's third-worst run defense by expected points added (EPA) per rush, per SumerSports. New York's offensive line can create room for Hall and others to maximize when facing lesser run defenses and that's exactly what they have on deck with Dallas. The Cowboys just gave up 164 yards rushing to Green Bay in Week 4 and the Packers were operating without multiple starting offensive linemen.
New York's offensive line is healthy. Hall will likely get a huge share of the touches with Braelon Allen on injured reserve (IR) for at least the next four weeks. Look for Hall to find a lot of success against Dallas' defense on Sunday.
Vikings RB Jordan Mason UNDER 66.5 rushing yards vs. Browns (-115)
Jacob Camenker, NFL writer: Mason had a huge game against the Bengals in Week 3, racking up 116 yards and two touchdowns on two carries. Outside of that, he has been solid but unspectacular, averaging 51.7 rushing yards per game and 3.9 yards per carry while operating as Minnesota's top runner.
Now, Mason gets to face a Browns defense that has allowed the second-fewest rushing yards to running backs this season on a 2.9 yards per carry average. The 26-year-old still figures to see a high volume of touches with Aaron Jones out, but it's hard to recommend backing him in a tough matchup with two of his top offensive linemen – center Ryan Kelly and right tackle Brian O'Neill – unlikely to play.
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 76.5 rushing yards vs. Bengals (-115)
Jack McKessy, NFL writer: Gibbs just put up his second game with more than 90 rushing yards in Week 4. Importantly, he did it against a Browns team that, according to Mr. Camenker, has generally fared far better against opponents' running backs than the average team.
In Week 5, Gibbs takes on a battered Bengals team that has been one of the worst in the NFL at defending against the run. They're allowing an average of 4.7 yards per carry to opposing running backs and a success rate of 45.1% on rushing plays, both ranking among the worst in the league.
Buccaneers RB Rachaad White OVER 22.5 receiving yards at Seahawks (-118)
Nick Brinkerhoff, NFL writer: The squad has been riding the struggle bus through the opening month, but yours truly is batting. 500 through the first four weeks – which easily gets you into the Hall of Fame. Hunter Henry entered the circle of trust after his Week 4 showing, but we're hoping to add Mr. White to that group in Week 5.
Bucky Irving was ruled out with a foot injury, allowing White to reclaim his old starting job against the Seahawks in Seattle. It comes with a brutal matchup on the ground, but things look much more promising through the air. Seattle is allowing the most receptions (7.25) and receiving yards (66.5) per game to opposing running backs. Even better for us, the Seahawks play zone coverage 78.1% of the time – the eighth-highest rate in the league, per PFF.
Against zone, Irving and White have been targeted 20 times and hauled in all of them for a total of 112 yards. White already beat this number in Week 4 and averaged 28.5 receiving yards per game in his two seasons as a starter. We might've just found a gem on Sunday in the "Emerald City."
Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan Anytime TD (+135)
Tom Viera, NFL writer/editor: Last Sunday, Keon Coleman failed to find the end zone but that's not going to discourage the touchdown train in Week 5. We're eyeing another big-bodied wide receiver today. The No. 8 overall pick in Carolina has yet to have a breakout performance but he's third in the NFL in air yard share (47%) and could see an even bigger boost in Week 5 against the Dolphins secondary that remains without its top cornerback Storm Duck.
Listed at 6-foot-5, it's only a matter of time before McMillan becomes an elite weapon in the red zone. He ranks seventh in the NFL in yards after the catch (YAC) so he's not just a jump ball maven. The rookie ranks first on the team in target rate (25%) and needs a better showing from his quarterback, Bryce Young, which is likely to come against Miami's defense, which ranks 29th in pressure rate and 31st in defensive EPA per play. Roll the dice with the rookie on Sunday.
