C.K. Kishore Kumar, Director of Physical Education at Mangalore University, passed away in the city on Sunday at the age of 60.

Mr. Kumar had been hospitalised for the past 10 days following a health complication and breathed his last around 2 a.m. He is survived by his wife, Aruna, an advocate, and two sons. Friends and well-wishers paid their respects at his residence in Kadri Shivabagh between 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

Beginning his career as a physical and cultural instructor at MGM College, Udupi, in 1990, Mr. Kumar later worked as a guest faculty at the University College of Physical Education, Bengaluru.
