Despite having difficulty with his necktie, despite the fact he forgot his shoes and had to go back into the house to get them, Jasper, a 14-year-old high school freshman who runs track, still got to church early on Sunday, Sept. 28. And because of that, he was able to snag the prime job of being an usher for the 10 a.m. service, stationed just inside the chapel near a door that separates it from a foyer, greeting friends and other church members.
