Andrew Flintoff says a " split-second decision" saved his life in a BBC Top Gear crash. Flintoff, known by his nickname of Freddie, has admitted he "was prepared to lose" his arm.

Flintoff's Top Gear crash was seen for the first time in a dramatic documentary about the England cricket legend. He was left needing facial reconstructive surgery as a result of the crash.

Freddie, aged 47, told the Times of the "split-second decision-making" which saved him. "Suddenly the car was rolling and the world was all slow-motion chaos," he wrote.
