The Assembly election in Bihar will be held before Novemeber 22, when the term of the state Assembly ends, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar said on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference in Patna after reviewing preparations for the Bihar Assembly polls, Kumar said the state has 243 constituencies, including 38 for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and two for Scheduled Tribes (STs).
"Bihar has 243 assembly constituencies - two for STs and 38 for SCs. The term of the Bihar Legislative Assembly ends on November 22, 2025, and elections will be held before that time. The Election Commission trained booth-level officers for the first time. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was launched on June 24, 2025, and completed by the deadline," he said.
