Brisbane captain Adam Reynolds has invited injured hooker Billy Walters up onto the dais to lift the Provan-Summons Trophy in a touching moment after the Broncos’ thrilling NRL grand final win over Melbourne .

Walters was ruled out for the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in the Broncos’ qualifying final victory over the Raiders in Canberra on September 14.

The 31-year-old had been a key part of Michael Maguire’s side, and his loss was a big blow for Brisbane.

But after pulling off yet another comeback against the Storm at Accor Stadium on Sunday night, Reynolds was sure not to forget his injured teammate.

Before finishing his captain’s speech and taking the trophy to his team, Reynolds invited Walters up to the stage to carry it with him, together.
