Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has said that the Bihar Assembly elections will be completed before November 22, when the term of the 17th Bihar Assembly ends.
The CEC was talking to reporters from Patna after completing the two-day tour of the state, along with Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sindhu and Vivek Joshi.
Gyanesh Kumar said most political parties were in favour of the polls being held "immediately after Chhath", the most popular festival of Bihar, which falls later this month. The EC statement added that the process will be completed "in as few phases as possible".
