The Washington Commanders have missed Jayden Daniels' services over the last couple of weeks, to say the least. Daniels has been recovering from a knee injury suffered in the first couple of weeks of this NFL season. To the surprise of no one, the Commanders are simply a different team when they have their franchise quarterback taking snaps and pressing advantages against helpless opposing defenses.
That's what makes Daniels' injury recovery progress so promising for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Daniels was a full participant in the Commanders' practices toward the end of the week and is trending toward making his return on Sunday.
That should be music to the ears of the Commanders and their fans, who were rightfully patient with Daniels while he recuperated. Now wasn't the time to rush him.
The only real thing to keep in mind about Daniels as he likely returns to action? He's wearing a protective knee brace now for extra stability:
We'll see how limited (or effective) Daniels looks if he indeed starts for Washington again.
