Two people were shot dead while at least 12 others were injured after a gunfight between two rival gangs occurred in downtown Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday night. According to Montgomery Police Chief James Graboys, three of the injured were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Police were called around 11:30 pm to what Graboys described as a “mass shooting. ” "This involved two parties shooting at each other in the middle of a crowd," the police chief said.
