Saving stray dogs is rarely simple. It takes patience, calm persistence, and a lot of heart, especially because so many frightened pups do everything they can to avoid being caught. Life on the streets leaves scars. Trust is slow to build, and most strays hesitate before letting a human get close.

So when a Paw Squadron volunteer heard about a two-month-old puppy wandering alone after a fierce storm in a remote area, he did not hesitate. He grabbed supplies, mapped the location, and drove out, not realizing how challenging the search would become.

He combed the roads and fields for hours until he finally spotted a tiny shape quivering inside a drainage tunnel.
