CLEMSON — Antonio Williams had to be sneaky.
The redshirt junior receiver was told midweek Clemson was running a double pass on North Carolina’s defense, first play of the game. But he couldn’t tip off the Tar Heels.
In pregame warmups, Williams caught a couple of passes from reserve quarterback Trent Pearman . They tried to make it look as normal as possible when Williams tossed it back. But, mentally, Williams was using a 30-yard throw to his walk-on QB to loosen up.
“It’s kind of nervous being a receiver and expected to throw the ball,” Williams said, “but for some reason, every time it’s called … ”
