SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — Rochester native and former Syracuse University football star Arthur Jones has died suddenly at the age of 39.
Jones, a Union-Endicott High School graduate, made a name for himself at Syracuse, where he recorded 145 tackles and 38.5 tackles for loss over four seasons.
He went on to play eight seasons in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington, and earned a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens in 2013.
The Ravens organization shared a post on X honoring Jones’ legacy, calling it a heartbreaking loss for the team and community.
