Temperatures are expected to soar into the low to mid-80s for most of Massachusetts on Sunday, continuing a trend of unseasonably warm weekend weather.

The southern and eastern coasts of the state should see temperatures in the mid-70s on Sunday due to sea breezes.

Sunny skies and light southerly winds are dominating the forecast for the exceptionally warm conditions that are expected to last until Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight temperatures will also be mild, dropping only into the mid-50s to near 60 degrees, making October feel like summer with light winds and clear skies.

Forecasters are expecting temperatures to cool off midweek, along with some much-needed rain showers Tuesday night into Wednesday.
