KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Homicide detectives are asking for information on a shooting that killed one person Saturday evening.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, officers were dispatched to a reported shooting near Bay Water Park just before 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 4.
There, they found a man who was in critical condition with gunshot wounds. He died several hours later in an area hospital. His identity has not yet been released.
Investigators believe there was an “interaction” between several people in a nearby park that escalated into a shooting. They are searching through surveillance footage and asking witnesses to come forward.
