The NDA government of Andhra Pradesh led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is making use of every opportunity to get grants from the centre to fix some of the long standing coastline issues which mandatorily require the intervention of National Disaster Management Authority.

It is a known fact that Andhra Pradesh boasts a massive coastline of 974 Kms. But, nearly 290 Kms of this area is affected by soil erosion and impacted the livelihoods of the fisherman community. Out of this, 30 Kms stretch of coastline belongs to Vishakapatnam city.

Now, as per Times of India report, the NDA has approved Rs. 222 Crores package for coastal erosion mitigation project proposed by the Vishakapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority. This will be a big boost towards arriving at a permanent solu
