A shooting in Midtown Sacramento injured three people early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 12:45 a.m., police in Midtown saw people in the area reporting that someone had been shot near the 2700 block of J Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and found three people who had been shot.

They were all taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police are investigating and have not yet said what led to the shooting.
