Mall owners said they have witnessed a strong uptick in footfalls during the Navratri-Dussehra period. Players expect to see strong double-digit growth in sales over the same period last year during the festival season.

Pushpa Bector, Bector, Senior Executive Director & Business Head, DLF Retail, said: “We are witnessing a lot of buoyancy in the market. Looking at the early trends, we anticipate to end this period with a 9-10 per cent uptick in footfalls and double-digit growth in sales.”

Players said that besides positive sentiment due to the festivities, factors such as GST rate cut on a wide range of consumer products are also fuelling a rise in footfalls.
