Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar on Sunday slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for participating in dance festivities on Red Road while North Bengal faces severe devastation and rising deaths due to intense rainfall.

“While everyone from the Prime Minister to the Home Minister is expressing concern and inquiring about the situation, how utterly inhumane and cruel must the Chief Minister be to not reach the affected areas and instead take to the carnival stage to dance!" Majumdar wrote on X.
