SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The City of Sevierville announced on Sunday morning that the remainder of the "Slammedenuff" event's festivities this weekend were canceled following "numerous disturbances, safety concerns," and a strain on public resources.

A social media post by the city's police department said while the event is privately organized, alleged traffic disruptions and reckless behavior have led city leaders to begin a "zero-tolerance policy" for "any nuisance activity, unsafe driving, or disorderly conduct associated with this event or similar gatherings."

According to the post, the city urged Slammedenuff festival goers to vacate the area in an orderly and safe manner on Sunday.
