Bhopal: Senior Congress spokesperson Ravi Saxsena has criticised the state government following the deaths of 11 children at Chhindwara district hospital after consuming toxic cough syrup. He accused the authorities of attempting a cover-up and condemned the health minister for giving a clean chit to the syrup manufacturer. The Congress party has demanded that the company owner be charged with murder, the district health officer be immediately dismissed and FIR filed, and that the families of the deceased children receive ₹50 lakh each in compensation.
