CARTER LAKE, Iowa (WOWT) - One person was sent to the hospital after a shooting in Carter Lake early Sunday morning.

A report from the Omaha Police Department says officers responded to Levi Carter Park and 30th and Pinkney streets for separate reports of shootings around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found a female victim with a life-threatening injury at 30th and Pinkney. She was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

An investigation determined the female victim was shot at Carter Lake Park.

OPD says additional victims were found at Carter Lake with superficial wounds.
