: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned against heavy rainfall and hailstorms over Northwest India on October 6, 2025. Several weather systems, currently active in the mainland, are expected to influence the routine weather patterns across multiple states. However, the southwest monsoon is expected to retreat further from parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra during the next 4 to 5 days.

Meanwhile, Cyclone Shakti intensifies over the Arabian Sea. It is likely to continue to move southwestward and weaken gradually into a cyclonic storm by Monday morning. The Weather Body said that it will recurve and move nearly eastwards over the west central and adjoining northwest Arabian Sea and weaken further into a depression by October 7.
