Two days after Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi warned Islamabad that it could be erased from the world map if it continues sponsoring terrorism, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in an outrageous remark on Sunday, said India would be “buried under the wreckage of its warplanes” in any future military conflict.

Asif’s remarks came in response to recent statements made by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, cautioning Pakistan against any misadventure. Taking to social media, Asif termed the remarks from India’s top security establishment a “failed attempt” to restore their lost credibility after what he called a “decisive defeat” in the May clashes.
