Guwahati: Following celebrated singer Zubeen Garg’s death on September 19, two postmortems were conducted — first in Singapore where he passed away while swimming and then at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital after his mortal remains were brought back home.

Both postmortem reports have been received, and handed over to Zubeen’s wife Garima Garg, who chose to return those to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) which is investigating the singer’s death. ADVERTISEMENT

Even as thousands of Zubeen’s fans, and the entire population of Assam are keen to know what actually caused his demise, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Sunday that the postmortem reports will not be made public.
