Commissionerate Police imposed a 36-hour curfew across 13 police station limits in Cuttack Sunday to maintain law and order.

Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh said the restrictions took effect at 10 p.m. Sunday and will remain in force for the next 36 hours.

The curfew covers areas under Dargah Bazaar, Manglabag, Cantonment, Purighat, Lalbag, Bidanasi, Markatnagar, CDA Phase-II, Malgodown, Badambadi, Jagatpur, Bayalish Mouza, and Sadar police stations.

“No one trying to create unrest or disrupt peace will be spared. The police will take stern action against anyone violating the curfew,” Singh warned.
