It may come as a relative surprise, but Penn State is still a ranked team in at least one of two national polls after losing to UCLA.
The Nittany Lions (3-2) came in at No. 22 in the US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday. They lost 42-37 against a previously 0-4 UCLA team at the Rose Bowl.
The loss was stunning, and it could mean the Lions drop out of the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time since 2022. The AP Poll drops at 2 p.m. Sunday.
No. 22 was the lowest Coaches Poll ranking for Penn State since Sept. 11, 2022, when the Lions came in at 23rd.
