With season-opening rosters due Monday evening, NHL clubs must place players on waivers today in order to be eligible to reassign them to the AHL in advance of tomorrow’s roster deadline. As a result, today features a significant number of waived players. All players from yesterday’s waivers cohort cleared except for Brandon Bussi , who was claimed by the Hurricanes .
