LONDON — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz looked like he might have been knocked from the game Sunday after taking a crunching hit late in the first half. Wentz, however, returned and delivered a dime in crunch time.
Wentz threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to receiver Jordan Addison in the final 30 seconds of the fourth quarter to lift the Vikings to a 21-17 victory against the Cleveland Browns in an NFL International Series game before 61,082 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“I’m glad we got that last chance … and guys made plays to get it done," said Wentz, a former North Dakota State standout. “Jordan Addison has been nothing but a baller since I’ve seen him live these last couple weeks.”
Wentz was making his third consecutive start for the Vikings, replacing injured starter
