INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts have benched wide receiver Adonai Mitchell this week, replacing him in the offensive lineup with veteran wideout Ashton Dulin despite the absence of Alec Pierce for a second consecutive week.
The difference has been obvious.
Mitchell is active, but the second-year Indianapolis wide receiver did not play in the first half against the Raiders . Dulin has instead handled the “X” receiver role normally occupied by Pierce, who suffered a concussion against the Titans two weeks ago and wasn’t able to clear the concussion protocol despite being listed as a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
