Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo targeted Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani ’s age and lack of experience on Sunday, saying the candidate “never ran anything” in his resume.

Mamdani, 33, beat Cuomo in the Democratic Party’s primary race for the New York City mayor election, and Cuomo is now running as an independent candidate. Polling indicates Cuomo faces an uphill battle to best Mamdani in November, even if Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa were to drop out .
