The Oregon Ducks lost a little luster with voters during their bye week.

In the coaches’ poll , the Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) remained at No. 2 with 1,572 points. They dipped from receiving six first-place votes last week to three this week. Two of the lost first-place votes went to No. 3 Miami (5-0) and one went to No. 1 Ohio State (5-0, 2-0).

In the AP Poll , Oregon fell a spot to No. 3 with 1,542 points, while losing 11 first-place votes to finish with five.

All 11 first-place votes went to No. 2 Miami, which leaped up two spots with a total of 21. The Hurricanes also picked up six first-place votes from Ohio State, which slid from having 46 to 40.

Two significant factors undoubtedly impacted Oregon’s loss of first-place votes.
